Mesothelioma and Everything Else About It

While mesothelioma almost always starts in the lungs with the right lung being the source most often. From there, as the disease progresses, it will invade the lining of the heart. Next, it moves downward into the abdominal
cavity. Finally, it finds its way into the lymph and circulatory system and can spread through the body. Most of the time, this disease is staged by how far it has progressed along this disease route. Less than 10% of mesothelioma victims live 5 years after diagnosis even with aggressive treatment.
